This past weekend was the Golden Globes, the type of celebrity-ass-kissing show I try to avoid like diarrhea. I did make an attempt to watch it this year because I knew Ricky Gervais was hosting and I wanted to see him insult A-list celebs. Unfortunately that didn’t happen because his jokes were tamer than the swear words from Die Hard 4. Fortunately the show wasn’t a total failure because I got to see Julianne Moore present an award. She looked so elegant and sexy despite her being over 50. Not that there’s anything wrong with that because I value the experience of an older woman, than the looks and inexperience of a much younger woman. In fact I was just thinking about this the other day, how I find her more attractive than most up-and-coming ginger actresses in Hollywood. Besides her lovely hair, what I love about Julianne are her endless amount freckles, her smile, and her nude scenes in Boogie Nights and Short Cuts (where she proves she’s a natural redhead). A toast to all the movie directors who convince actresses to do nude scenes for artistic reasons. Speaking of which, she also starred in one of my favourite movies of all time that I have watched over a dozen times (no lie), The Fugitive.
